POSEIDON
I am afloat
- a piece of wood only drifting
Poseidon robbed me - like I robbed his kin
I face the gallon that we raised in the dark
When I sold my heart for a handful of dust
In dreams
I saw mankind lost in wilderness
There were those who wept and there were those who prayed
Sons of spirit and followers of the dead
On a path that was carved in ancient stones never read
Loose
ends bring this world to a nothing
Thru the forest and over seas I have fled
Ripped and torn till I realised my mistake
And by your flowing robe now I humble myself
Human,
o fragile one
My dearest sacrifice
You are death - I am life
And I have come to wake you up
Out of
nowhere
You rose and stabbed our heart
My rage will wear you down
You'll be drowned, gone to naught
I've been
afloat - a piece of wood only drifting
Poseidon took me to the weeds of his grave
